Study for 6th-12th graders meets on Sunday mornings during the school year in the Youth Room upstairs in the Fellowship Building from 9:45-10:40am. During June, July, and August, youth are warmly welcomed to Summer Sunday School with the adults at 9am in the library.
Youth at First Presbyterian are engaged in all facets of church life - from church leadership to long-range mission. In general, our program is marked by four areas:
Music (called Knox Singers) for 6th-12th graders rehearses on most Sunday evenings during the school year following Youth Fellowship from 6:30-7:30pm.
Fellowship for 6th-12th graders meets on most Sunday evenings during the school year from 5:00-6:30 pm. Youth Fellowship includes supper, service and mission projects, fun group building games and activities, study, and discussions about what it means to be a teenage Christian in today’s culture.
Ventures are interspersed throughout the year and include summer mission trips, summer conferences for middle school youth in Massanetta, Virginia and for high school students in Montreat, NC, and school year retreats for both middle and high schoolers.
