General Assembly Report
The General Assembly of Presbyterian Church (USA) recently completed its meeting in Minneapolis. Events and actions of the meetings often stir up questions, conversation and even misinformation. Rev. Watkins will provide a review of the meeting on August 8th at 10am in Clark Hall. Additionally, a document entitled “Assembly in Brief” will soon be available for you to review.

Day Mission – August
School Supplies
Help disadvantaged children kick-off the school year with necessary school supplies and materials. All kinds of materials are needed: pencils, paper, book bags, erasures, notebooks, pens, crayons, pencil sharpeners, etc. you may bring them to the church office. Please deliver by August 14th!

Children’s Worship Workshop
On August 15th, Dr. Watkins will lead a workshop to assist rising first graders as they age out of Joy Worship and learn to sit through a service. The workshop will help kids appreciate worship and explore the meaning of the sacraments so they might participate in a more significant way. Following the class, they will be recognized in worship and honored with a token of graduation. Interested parents please contact the church or email the pastor directly. The workshop is scheduled for 9:50 in the sanctuary and will be completed by 10:40.
