Chancel Choir - If you are college-aged or older, the Chancel Choir is for you. They rehearse weekly on Wednesdays, 7:30-9:00 p.m. This choir leads the worship services with enthusiasm, singing their faith. Special seasonal services are led by the Chancel Choir: Advent/Christmas, Lent/Palm Sunday, Easter, and spirituals. Kyrk Ringers - First Presbyterian’s handbell choir, for high-school-aged-persons and older, rehearses on Mondays, 5:45-7:00 p.m. Bell-ringing is a wonderful dimension to our music ministry. Members will ring for 11:00 worship 4-5 times a year, rehearsing weekly. Knox Singers - This group of 7th-12th graders rehearses Sundays, 4:30-5:45 p.m. These teenagers are able to express their faith through music, dedicating their time and talents to the church. Each year, in conjunction with the Chancel Choir, they present a program of spirituals during the 11:00 worship hour. Chapel/Orff Choir - For 3rd-6th graders, this choir rehearses Wednesdays, 4:00-5:00 p.m. This group of young people expresses themselves through singing and playing Orff instruments and choir chimes. Christmas musicals give additional opportunities to grow as musicians as well as learn more about living our faith.
Calvin Choir - This choir is for K-2nd graders and rehearses Mondays, 4:00-5:00 p.m. The sweet voices at this age tackle the challenge of learning to read music while learning to read. Emphasis is on learning Bible stories through song. Christmas musicals offer opportunities to grow in faith. "I- Can't- be- in- the- Choir" Choir - Is your schedule such that you cannot commit to weekly practices and worship? Are you a little unsure if your voice is "ready" for choir? Join this bunch. Arrive Sunday mornings at 10:15 in the choir room. Sit along side your friends in the choir and learn as you go!
