The church office is open from 9:00 to 4:30, Monday through Friday. A pastor or program-staff person as well as an administrative or support person are available to assist you during these hours. Volunteers are gracious enough to answer our phones during the week. You may also leave a message on the voice mail or contact a staff person by email.

Tom was called to First Presbyterian as senior pastor and head of staff in September 2008.
He has served churches in Raleigh and Wendell before coming to Wilson. Originally from Alabama,
Tom received his BA from Auburn University and an MDiv from Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta.
He and his wife, Julie, have two children, Mary-Thomas 6 and Jack 2.

Ginger has served as Youth Director at First Presbyterian Church since January 2009.
She has worked in various positions in other churches such as Youth Advisor, Children's Ministries
Coordinator, Sunday School Teacher, and Vacation Bible School Director. Ginger was born and raised
in Georgia and received her degree in Mathematics from Agnes Scott College in Decatur. Ginger and
her husband Mike have two children:  Kate age 16 and Carol age 12.  

Joan Gibbs, Director of Music

Joan Gibbs has served as Director of Music at First Presbyterian, Wilson, since September 1985. In addition to serving as organist for all services, Joan directs four vocal choirs and a handbell choir. While still in college, she served as organist/choir director at Kenly UMC and West Nash UMC. Then, upon receiving her BS in Music Education(K-12th) from then Atlantic Christian College, Joan taught public school music in Edgecomb County for a year, continuing to play the organ and direct choirs in rural communities, as well as teaching private piano lessons. Joan and husband, Milo have a daughter Leslie Gibbs Fritscher, a son, Spencer and 2 grandchildren, ages 6 and 4.

Dale Sauls, Christian Education Coordinator and Weekday School Director

Dale began serving First Presbyterian in 1999. and coordinates all educational activities for the church.
She also serves as the director of the Weekday School. Originally from Williamsburg, Va., Dale and her husband Gee have two grown children.
